Meet our girl LaKeisha Baker! Her smile lights up a room, and her laugh—loud, contagious, and full of life—can be heard from miles away. She radiates joy and will have you laughing right alongside her. Though quiet at times, don’t let that fool you—LaKeisha is stepping boldly into her calling. We’ve watched her shift from serving in the background to walking confidently in her God-given gifts.

LaKeisha and her husband, Thomas, serve together on the Pastoral Leadership Team at Word Alive International Outreach, and if there’s an opportunity to serve, you’ll find them in the middle of it. She and Thomas served for years in children’s ministry and continue to serve wherever needed. Her go-to phrase is, “Where would you like me?”—always willing, always available, always faithful.

She is hungry for the things of God and fully believes in the power of His presence. She desires to go deep and walk in every spiritual gift the Lord has for her. At just 13 years old, LaKeisha survived a traumatic health emergency—an aneurysm—and her life since then has been a living testimony of God’s miraculous power and faithfulness.

Her sound is like a thunder boom—bold, powerful, and impossible to ignore. Her spirit is tenacious, her character is unmatched, and her heart is gentle and kind. She walks in both strength and softness, a rare and beautiful combination. Whether behind the scenes or out front, LaKeisha’s example is strong and consistent—she leads with humility, honor, and heart
